Platform Engineering Summer Intern (Jun 2026)

Join Mastercard as a Platform Engineering Intern to support technical asset management across mainframe and other platforms in Summer 2026.

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:

• Inventory all physical assets across mainframe, AIX, and HP NonStop platforms
• Document hardware models, OS versions, and deployed software components
• Map asset deployment locations and configurations
• Build a dashboard to visualize compliance against supported software versions
• Reconcile software license inventory with deployed software across platforms

About You

The company is looking for:

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program majoring in Computer Science or a related field with a graduation date of December 2026 or beyond
• Hands-on experience working in data, ideally within Excel
• Hands-on experience with Python
• Knowledge of building dashboards/data visualization tools (Domo, Power BI)
• Experience connecting with an API to source data
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Excellent communication skills, ability and willingness to tackle complex problems
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without employer sponsorship

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $23-28/hr
• 56 hours of Paid Sick and Safe Time for interns
