Support pharmacy teams in delivering safe, accurate prescription services while developing skills for a Pharmacist role at CVS Health.

Your Role

Key responsibilities include:

  • Applying pharmacy school learning to real-world practice under preceptor and District Leader guidance
  • Completing a comprehensive training roadmap within 120 days of graduation covering store, district, and regional operations
  • Assisting pharmacy teams to ensure smooth operations, prompt and accurate prescription fulfillment, and exceptional patient service
  • Following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and best practices across pharmacy workstations (production, pick-up, drive-thru, drop-off)
  • Demonstrating empathy and genuine care in all patient and colleague interactions
  • Offering counseling and fielding medical questions under licensed pharmacist supervision
  • Taking telephonic prescriptions and communicating with prescribers as allowed by state regulations
  • Providing coaching, training, and mentoring to pharmacy team members
  • Completing inventory activities such as medication deliveries, cycle counts, and returns-to-stock
  • Contributing to a high-performing, inclusive team and embracing a growth mindset
  • Remaining flexible with scheduling and traveling to other stores as needed
  • Complying with all relevant laws, regulations, professional standards, and CVS policies to ensure patient safety and privacy
  • Delivering additional patient health care services like immunizations and point-of-care testing where permitted
  • Supporting immunization efforts by completing licensure and training, educating patients, monitoring adverse reactions, and documenting patient information

About You

The company is looking for candidates who meet the following qualifications:

  • PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to starting the Post-Graduate Training Program
  • Ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within 120 days of graduation
  • Possession or pursuit of valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
  • Regular and predictable attendance including nights and weekends
  • Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
  • Strong attention and focus with ability to pivot between tasks
  • Customer service orientation with empathy and effective communication skills
  • Mathematical reasoning skills for prescription calculations
  • Problem resolution skills for patient and colleague interactions
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform repetitive hand movements
  • Preferred: 1+ years related experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service settings
  • Preferred: Ability to become immunization certified and work across multiple store locations
  • Preferred: Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Compensation & Benefits

  • Pay range: $19.75 - $42.00 per hour
