Join Qualcomm as a Multimedia Engineering Intern to work on cutting-edge multimedia technologies powering billions of Snapdragon devices worldwide.
Your Role
Key responsibilities include:
- Working on technologies such as camera, video encoding/decoding, audio, speech, GPU, modem, CPU, application processor, multimedia engines, and computer vision.
- Contributing to system-level architecture, analysis, budgeting, and optimization of multimedia use cases for lowest power and best performance.
- Collaborating within the Multimedia Engineering track aligned to projects based on your resume.
About You
The company is looking for candidates who meet the following qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s, master’s, or Ph.D. degree program in computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field.
- Available for 11–14 weeks during Summer 2026 (May–September).
- Expected graduation date of November 2026 or later.
- 1+ years of academic experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Python.
- Preferred: Currently enrolled in a Master’s or PhD program with anticipated graduation between November 2026 and June 2027.
- Preferred skills include graphics (OpenCL, compilers, ray tracing, GPU, Vulkan/DX), computer vision/XR (DNNs, motion, AR/XR, depth, linear algebra, perception), imaging (image/video segmentation, 3D, pattern recognition, image/video processing), speech/audio (acoustics, TTS, speech/audio signal processing and compression), video (digital signal processing, compression), software apps/tools (linear algebra, AR, perception, Oculus Air).
- Experience with machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch), deep learning, neural networks.
- Strong understanding of signal processing.
- Ability to program effectively in C/C++, Python, and/or Matlab.
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly pay range: $17.00 - $98.00.
