Mechanical Engineering Technology Summer Co-op (May 2026)

Join GE Appliances as a Mechanical Engineering Technology Co-op for the Summer to gain hands-on experience in dimensional controls, modeling, and simulation.

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:

• Work with your mentor to accomplish established goals that support the business and offer learning opportunities
• Complete innovative, technical assignments in Dimensional Controls & Metrology, Modeling and Simulation
• Hands-on learning in 3D Scanning, Polyworks analysis, introduction to Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T), and model-based definition
• Attend development and training sessions to enhance technical knowledge and professional skills
• Participate in networking and community volunteer projects
• Engage in optional events including lunches, weekend activities, sports, and cookouts

About You

The company is looking for:

• Currently enrolled in an accredited university pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering Technology
• Graduation date of December 2026 or later
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher (out of 4.0)
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
• Related coursework
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
• 3D centric thinker with a maker mentality
• Desire and ability to learn
• Passion for engineering
