Mechanical Engineering Interns will support teams in building/facility mechanical systems design at Jacobs in Tempe, Portland, or Pittsburgh.

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:

  • Provide support to teams on critical projects involving building/facility mechanical systems
  • Work alongside professional engineers and designers
  • Gain exposure to project coordination and relevant computer-assisted engineering software
  • Assist with data collection and other engineering tasks
  • Contribute fresh ideas while fostering a culture of continuous learning and inclusion

About You

The company is looking for:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited program
  • At least a rising Junior (currently completing Sophomore year)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Previous relevant internship experience
  • Ability to work in-person regularly at a project site; must live locally or be willing to relocate within approximately 50 miles of the site
  • Preferred: 3.0 GPA
  • Preferred: Working knowledge of AutoCAD and MicroStation
  • Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship, now or in the future

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary range: $55,000 to $66,000, paid hourly based on hours worked
  • Salary determined by work location, skills, experience, and education
