Mechanical Engineer role focused on power system design and evaluation at ENERCON, supporting energy transition projects.
Your Role
Key responsibilities include:
- Evaluate and design power systems for power-generating facilities.
- Collaborate across disciplines including electrical and civil engineering.
- Manage scope, schedule, budget, and quality with minimal oversight.
- Produce high-quality, error-free engineering documents meeting industry codes and client expectations.
- Stay current with industry standards and safety practices, especially in the nuclear sector.
- Deliver innovative, compliant engineering solutions supporting client needs.
- Build strong client relationships through clear communication and collaboration.
- Conduct site visits to walk down plant systems, interface with client personnel, and observe engineering solutions in action.
About You
What you'll need:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited university.
- 1–3 years of relevant experience; thermal-hydraulic and design modification experience preferred.
- Proficiency in mechanical calculations preparation.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for teamwork, design proposals, and documentation.
- Knowledge of industry standards and willingness to participate in prototyping and testing.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in teams.
- Physical ability to climb stairs and ladders, navigate client sites, and work outdoors.
- Willingness and ability to travel for client and company projects or meetings.
- Available to start within 1-2 months.
- Must pass pre-employment and random drug/alcohol screenings, background checks, and annual motor vehicle record checks.
- Must be legally eligible to work in the US without sponsorship.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $80,000 to $99,600, based on role, experience, location, and skills.
