Manufacturing Engineer Intern (Start ASAP)

L3Harris is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Intern to support manufacturing plans, develop strategies, and coordinate new product releases in a mission-driven defense technology environment.

Your Role

Key responsibilities include:

• Implementing and analyzing manufacturing plans and projects
• Designing, developing, and transferring manufacturing and engineering tools, strategies, and systems
• Developing manufacturing strategies for specific products and processes
• Interfacing with engineering to coordinate the release of new products
• Estimating manufacturing costs, determining time standards, and recommending tooling and process requirements for new or existing product lines
• Maintaining records and reporting systems for coordination of manufacturing operations

About You

The company is looking for candidates with:

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering
• Knowledge in Lean Manufacturing, AutoCAD and/or Pro-E, Six Sigma, technical writing, MS Project and/or MS SharePoint
• Experience or training with AI tools for systems engineering work, such as PFMEA, DFMEA, DOE design
• Experience or training with process flow mapping, PFEP, and production material controls
