Loss Prevention Specialist Intern (May 2026)

Amazon seeks a Loss Prevention Intern to lead security and asset protection efforts in a fulfillment center during a 10-week summer internship in 2026.

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:

• Drive Standard Work and Continuous Improvement through an intern project
• Ensure internal controls per Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) requirements are fulfilled
• Assist with investigations of internal and external theft and fraud
• Manage access controls within the assigned fulfillment center to reduce unauthorized data access
• Inspire performance excellence among security services team members
• Align performance and actions with the vision and values of the organization and department
• Meet or surpass objectives aligned with the security service model
• Serve as department liaison for facility management, communicating key issues and performance
• Drive process improvements and increase efficiency
• Identify, promote, and implement security best practices in the designated fulfillment center
• Partner with internal customers to evaluate current and future security services, processes, and initiatives
• Coordinate data collection and conduct analysis to generate strategic and tactical interpretations

About You

The company is looking for:

• Currently enrolled pursuing a Bachelor’s degree with conferral between December 2026 and August 2027
• Working towards a degree in Criminology, Criminal Justice, Asset Protection, or related field with interest in Loss Prevention
• Experience with physical security systems, investigation techniques, contract security oversight, or distribution center loss mitigation preferred
• Organized and detail oriented with a focus on accuracy
• Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments and motivate self and others to meet deadlines
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, confident in public speaking and writing
• Ability to analyze data deeply and provide actionable business solutions
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
