Your Role
Here’s what you will be doing:
- Conduct research and assist in the development, optimization, and validation of companion diagnostic assays using molecular techniques such as PCR, qPCR, and sequencing.
- Prepare biological samples, reagents, and controls while adhering to quality and regulatory standards.
- Perform laboratory experiments, troubleshoot problems, and resolve technical issues.
- Maintain accurate and organized documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Participate in regular team meetings and present data or progress reports as needed.
- Comply with lab safety protocols and support maintaining a clean and orderly laboratory environment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including scientists, quality assurance, project management, and regulatory affairs to meet project milestones.
About You
The company is looking for:
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in biology, genetics, molecular biology, biochemistry, or a related life science field.
- Coursework in lab-based sciences such as genetics, genomics, molecular biology, or biotechnology.
- Familiarity with pipetting, sample preparation, and standard laboratory equipment.
- Hands-on experience with basic molecular biology techniques including PCR, gel electrophoresis, and DNA extraction.
- Understanding of basic laboratory safety and procedures.
- Ability to read and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Skill in basic data analysis and documentation with strong recordkeeping abilities.
- Collaborative communication skills and ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
