Jr. Software Development Engineer - New York (Jun 2026)

Join Amazon’s Jr. Developer Program as a Jr. Software Development Engineer to write real software, collaborate with experienced engineers, and grow your career in a year-round internship.

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:

• Write real software and collaborate with experienced engineers who provide guidance and opportunities for ownership.
• Contribute regularly to impactful deliverables as a fully integrated team member.
• Design and code solutions to complex technical challenges at Amazon.
• Work part-time during the school year and full-time during the summer in the New York corporate office.

About You

The company is looking for:

• Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program.
• Graduating June 2028 or later.
• Majoring in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related STEM field.
• Ability to work year-round until graduation (part-time during school year, full-time during summer).
• Able to start work in June 2026.
• Ability to work in person year-round at the New York corporate office (no remote or hybrid options).
• Living within commutable distance to New York.
• Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, Python, or C++ including object-oriented design.
• Preferred: Previous technical internship(s), ability to articulate technical challenges and solutions, and solve complex problems.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base pay ranges from $16.83/hr to $75.63/hr depending on geographic market and experience.
