Join ABB as an Internal Communications Summer Intern to support internal communications projects and enhance employee engagement in a global market leader.
Your Role
Here’s what you will be doing:
- Draft content for internal channels including newsletters, intranet, videos, talking points, digital messaging, and Viva Engage.
- Partner with HR program teams to support internal THRIVE awareness campaigns and program launches.
- Organize and support communications projects and event schedules, fostering accountability through transparency and collaboration.
- Coordinate and share logistics of events, acting as point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
- Create broader messaging platforms and timelines to support business positioning and growth.
- Assist the communications team with key global initiatives.
- Engage in mentoring and networking opportunities by sharing and leveraging best practices across teams.
About You
The company is looking for:
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master’s degree program in Communications, Marketing, English, or related fields in the United States.
- Reliable transportation to and from the worksite.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future.
- Critical thinking skills to analyze complex situations and develop strategic solutions.
- Ability to effectively organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining high quality standards.
- Strong collaboration skills to convey ideas, share information, and provide updates on project progress.
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly rate between $20 - $34, based on qualifications, graduation year, and experience.
- Opportunity to work onsite/hybrid in Memphis, TN.
- No relocation assistance or stipend; candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius and manage their own commuting.
