Join Jacobs as an Instrumentation and Controls Engineering Intern to support advanced manufacturing projects across multiple industries with expert mentorship.
Your Role
Here’s what you will be doing:
- Work on projects supporting manufacturing and related industries including consumer goods, electric vehicles, data centers, chemicals, pulp & paper.
- Be accountable for schedule and technical quality of engineering tasks while gaining familiarity with client expectations, scope, budget, and schedule.
- Provide on-site assistance during startup and coordinate work activities with staff and discipline lead.
- Collaborate within a multi-discipline, highly interactive team to produce control system designs for various processes.
- Develop P&IDs, specify process instrumentation and valves, design DCS and PLC based systems, and design networking for control systems.
- Engage in expert mentorship opportunities to support career growth.
About You
What you'll need:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in chemical, electrical, or mechanical engineering.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and/or Revit.
- Ability to work in the US without visa sponsorship now or in the future.
Ideally, you’ll also have:
- Previous relevant design internship experience.
- Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers, AutoCAD and/or Revit.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary range of $47,000 to $65,000, paid hourly based on hours worked, determined by location, skills, experience, and education.
