Information Technology Intern supporting infrastructure and IT solutions to drive business growth at Texas Instruments.
Your Role
Here’s what you will be doing:
- Perform business analyst functions including scope and requirement documentation, test case development, and user acceptance testing
- Support day-to-day business activities and system usage/entitlement
- Act as liaison between business units and IT
- Understand business processes and partner on system and process changes
- Support design, construction, and implementation phases of system or upgrade projects as an application developer
- Use web development and programming skills (C, C++, Java, Perl, HTML, SQL) and scripting in Unix or Windows environments
- Administer client/server databases (Oracle, Microsoft) and support Enterprise UNIX environments
- Develop and execute security controls and countermeasures to protect company systems
- Manage and maintain computers running various operating systems (Unix, Oracle, SAP, Windows)
- Plan, design, and implement local and wide-area network solutions including IP and VOIP
- Provide mainframe system and application provisioning/support using JCL, TSO, ISPF, Assembly, and COBOL
About You
The company is looking for:
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or related field
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher
- Basic understanding of web development, programming languages (C, C++, Java, Perl, Python, R, SQL), and scripting
- Basic understanding of networks, operating systems (Windows, Unix), and databases
- Ability to establish strong relationships with key stakeholders
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to quickly learn new systems and processes
- Ability to work effectively in teams and collaborate across functions
- Initiative and drive for results
- Strong time management skills for on-time project delivery
