Image Science Intern Level D (Start ASAP)

L3Harris seeks an Image Science Intern to develop embedded software and apply digital signal processing in support of advanced tactical radio systems.

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:

• Apply computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis concepts in software development for target applications
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to develop and evaluate hardware-software interfaces and system design
• Support all phases of the software development life cycle including requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, and testing of embedded software for real-time control of tactical radio equipment
• Develop software test procedures, programs, and related documentation
• Utilize modeling tools and equipment to establish operating data, conduct experimental tests, and evaluate results
• Participate in peer reviews, identify, track, and repair defects
• Use various software languages (C++, C#, C, Java, Ruby, HTML5, XML, SQL, Perl, Python, Ajax, Qt) on Windows, Linux, mobile platforms, and embedded real-time operating systems (VxWorks, Linux, QNX, Integrity, Windows CE, etc.)
• Apply digital signal processing (DSP), communication systems, and software engineering principles
• Understand time domain vs frequency domain analysis, filter structures, and modulation/coding algorithms
• Work in an agile environment supporting embedded software and firmware development for advanced tactical radio equipment

About You

The company is looking for candidates who meet the following qualifications:

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Wireless Engineering, Information Security, Mathematics, Digital Arts & Sciences, or related field
• Experience or knowledge in one or more of the following: C++, C#, C, Java, Ruby, JEE, HTML5, XML, SQL, Qt, Windows, .NET, Unix, Linux, SOA, RTOS, Real-Time Controls, Wireless, Software Security, Robotics, OOA/OOD, Hadoop, Android, Embedded Systems
