Image Processing Engineer Associate (Start ASAP)

L3Harris is seeking an Associate Image Processing Engineer to develop and analyze image and signal processing algorithms for national defense airborne platforms.

Your Role

Key responsibilities include:

• Working within a dynamic team to execute algorithm development.
• Performing sensor, target, and atmospheric modeling.
• Developing code using Python (Jupyter Notebooks, NumPy, SciPy, OpenCV, Matplotlib) or MATLAB (Image or Signal Processing Toolboxes).
• Demonstrating technical competence, pride in ownership, and a strong work ethic.
• Analyzing digital data and underlying phenomena.
• Adapting dynamically to change and maintaining high ethical standards.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

About You

The company is looking for candidates who meet the following qualifications:

• Pursuing or recently completed (within 12 months) a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Computer Science or Electrical Engineering preferred) or Physics.
• Experience with Python, MATLAB, or other scripting languages.
• Background in engineering concepts and theory with experience applying these to new concepts and technical practices.
• Willingness to relocate to Tulsa, OK.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense security clearance.

Preferred additional skills include:

• Familiarity with atmosphere modeling and analysis.
• Object detection and tracking experience.
• Experience using quantitative performance metrics to evaluate algorithm performance.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Software development experience.
• Experience with C, C++, and/or CUDA.
