Pros and cons of working at White & Case

Pros

  • Excellent overseas opportunities.

  • Great people, great work opportunities.

  • Excellent mobility opportunities.

  • Another important pro is the significant training and development opportunities that are available, and which have practical applications.

  • The Sydney office is beautiful and has recently been renovated. It's spacious, open plan, with 360-degree views of Sydney and its harbour.

Cons

    • Little work life balance, feeling unable to switch off from work.

    • Although the firm allows working from home, the current team I am in requires full time in office attendance. However, the team also requires me to be contactable on weekends and after work during the week.

    • I find that the culture varies greatly between teams. Some teams are very supportive and cooperative and others less so.

    • Lesser known in the Australian market.

    • Lack of responsibility.
