Highway/Roadway Transportation Engineering Intern (May 2026)

Engineering Intern opportunity at AECOM in Saint Louis, MO, focusing on civil engineering with roadway design.

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:

• Gain hands-on experience that complements academic learning and supports the transition from student to professional.
• Perform duties providing a broad, well-rounded learning experience within civil engineering with a focus on roadway design.

About You

The company is looking for:

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a roadway design focus and completed at least two years of study.
• Recent graduates with a Bachelor’s degree planning to continue with a Master’s degree are eligible if enrolled in the most recent term and interested in advanced study.
• US Citizenship is required due to the nature of the work.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Basic knowledge of CADD and industry-standard software such as AutoCAD or MicroStation.
• Strong organizational, technical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or within a team environment.

Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly pay: USD 20 - USD 25.
