Join ABB as a Health, Safety, & Environmental Intern to support operations, enhance safety, and gain practical experience in a global leader environment.

Your Role

Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with various teams to support ABB’s operations, ensuring effective coordination and timely project completion within defined timelines.
  • Leveraging insights about customer needs and ABB’s offerings to identify suitable solutions for clients, leading to project results that meet customer expectations.
  • Participating in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and other collaborative efforts.
  • Seeking feedback and guidance from manager and team members to improve performance and skills.
  • Identifying and improving safety at the site through technology, work cell redesign, improved ergonomics, and other means.
  • Working with area leaders and process experts to perform and update Risk Assessments.

About You

The company is looking for:

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master’s degree program in Environmental Health and Safety, Environmental Engineering, Fire Protection and Safety, Process Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related fields in the United States.
  • Reliable transportation to and from the worksite.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future.
  • Critical thinking skills to analyze complex situations and develop strategic solutions.
  • Ability to effectively organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Capability to manage several tasks simultaneously while maintaining high quality standards.
  • Strong collaboration skills to convey ideas, share information, and provide updates on project progress.

Compensation

  • Hourly rate between $20 - $34, determined by qualifications, graduation year, and experience.
