Join CACI as a Hardware Reverse Engineering Intern for Summer 2026 to perform hardware reverse engineering and vulnerability research on-site in Sterling, VA.
Your Role
Here’s what you will be doing:
- Apply reverse engineering principles to hardware through teardown and inspection
- Use a logic analyzer to assess hardware characteristics
- Use various programmers and debugging tools to extract data from hardware
- Configure RF characteristics on Commercial-Off-the-Shelf Radios to record signals
- Learn to demodulate and process RF signals
- Document reverse engineering methodologies, procedures, and results for customer presentations and internal reviews
- Prepare reports and presentations for stakeholders and customers
- Work independently and as part of a team to support the exploitation mission
About You
The company is looking for:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering/Signal Processing, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship, now or in the future
- Ability to obtain and maintain required clearance
- Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++
- Experience with software-development tools and version-control systems (e.g., Git)
- PCB design and/or PCB population experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Desired: Digital signal processing experience, previous internship/co-op experience, minimum GPA of 3.0 preferred but not required
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $45,900 - $91,900, influenced by location, experience, skills, education, and certifications
