Qualcomm offers a 2026 summer internship for hardware engineering students to work on cutting-edge AI, computing, and connectivity projects across multiple technical tracks.
Your Role
Key responsibilities include:
- Contributing to Qualcomm multi-disciplinary teams such as System, Front-end Design, Implementation, Design-for-Test, Physical Design, Pre-silicon Verification, Emulation, Post-silicon Validation, CAD, and GPU Design
- Working on technical tracks including GPU Engineering, CPU Engineering, Digital Design / DV, and SoC Systems Engineering
- Engaging in tasks like architecture modeling, RTL development, verification, power and thermal management, and embedded software design depending on track
- Collaborating with diverse teams to push the boundaries of hardware engineering and establish new standards
About You
The company is looking for candidates who meet the following qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s, master’s, or Ph.D. program in computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, or related field
- Available for 11–14 weeks during Summer 2026 (May–September)
- Expected graduation date of November 2026 or later
- At least 1 year of academic experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Python, Perl, Verilog, SystemVerilog
- Preferred: Candidates pursuing Master’s or PhD degrees with anticipated graduation between November 2026 and June 2027
- Preferred: Familiarity with relevant technologies and tools depending on track, including GPU pipeline validation, CPU micro-architecture verification, digital design and verification methodologies, system-level performance modeling, and embedded software development
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly pay range: $15.30 - $98.00
