Electrical Engineering Intern to support Grid business unit projects involving power system design and engineering tasks.

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:

  • Work on a project team in the Grid business unit assisting engineering team members with project execution.
  • Contribute to design, modifications, and upgrades of transmission, substation, distribution, renewable, and battery energy storage system projects.
  • Assist in preparation of engineering calculations, specifications, and designs.
  • Support project reporting activities including tracking and evaluating project progress and data.
  • Participate in power designs and prepare specifications for procurement of major electrical power equipment and installation services.

About You

The company is looking for:

  • Expected graduation in Fall 2026, Spring 2027, Fall 2027, or Spring 2028 with a BSEE or MSEE degree in Electrical Engineering with strong coursework in electrical power.
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Self-starter, proactive, able to work independently with minimal direction.
  • Ability to quickly identify and prioritize issues, create solutions, and meet deadlines.
  • U.S. work authorization without sponsorship.

Valued but not required:

  • Degree from an ABET Engineering Accreditation Commission-approved program.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in campus or community.
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.
  • Prior related internship or co-op experience.
