Graduate Speech Pathologist (Rolling Intake)

Prosple is working closely with a special client to find passionate Graduate Speech Pathologist’s to join their supportive team in various locations including Townsville, Mt Isa and Longreach. 

As part of a supportive, diverse, and multidisciplinary team, you’ll be providing speech pathology services in regional North Qld. Working in collaboration with a range of specialists, to provide holistic care and long-term treatment and prevention strategies.

You will work with a diverse range of clients, live and work in parts of Australia that many never get to see - set your own schedule and help the community members thrive through your care and expertise.

Helping people who may not otherwise have access to healthcare and support, you’ll see the real difference your work makes in rural communities as you enable clients to live and receive high-quality care locally.

What you can expect from the role:

• Administer standardised and informal assessments within a multidisciplinary team to determine the nature and extent of their speech, language, learning and communication disorders or swallowing difficulties.
• Provide treatment and management including ongoing therapy of speech, language, learning and communication disorders that may be developmental, part of a disability, acquired as a result of injury or disease; and
• Deliver family centred early childhood intervention strategies

What we’re looking for:

• A recent or soon-to-be graduate of a recognised Speech Pathology program
• Eligibility for Speech Pathology Australia membership
• A genuine passion for supporting clients in regional and remote areas
• Excellent communication skills and a willingness to learn
• The ability to obtain a QLD Blue card and NDIS worker screening
• Hold a current unrestricted drivers licence
• The right to live and work in Australia
