Join Forward Financing as a Government Affairs Assistant to support policy engagement and legislative processes in a mission-driven fintech company.

Your Role

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conduct factual research, gather company and industry statistics, and collect relevant data to inform policy positions and presentations.
  • Assist in building and maintaining relationships with legislators, regulatory agencies, policy experts, and partner organizations.
  • Organize and schedule meetings with policymakers and external stakeholders; prepare background memos and supporting materials for executives.
  • Monitor, track, and log the status of key bills and regulatory developments; provide timely updates to the General Counsel and government affairs team.
  • Provide administrative support related to stakeholder meetings and coordination tasks.

About You

The company is looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Political Science, Public Policy, Communications, Law, or related field.
  • Strong interest in government functions, legislative processes, and public policy issues.
  • Excellent written communication skills for crafting professional memos, emails, and briefing documents.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills to interact confidently with policymakers and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational abilities with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Creative thinking and resourcefulness to develop innovative policy solutions.
  • Proven teamwork skills and ability to collaborate effectively.
  • Self-starter with initiative to identify research needs and administrative tasks independently.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Annual targeted salary: $65,000–$80,000 USD
