Join Jacobs as a Geospatial / Land Surveying Intern to gain hands-on experience in large-scale infrastructure projects within the Pacific Northwest.

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:

  • Assist in data collection using surveying instruments such as GPS, total stations, and laser scanners
  • Support the processing and analysis of geospatial data using specialized software
  • Create and update GIS databases and maps for infrastructure projects
  • Support integration of geospatial data with other project information, including CAD drawings and BIM models
  • Assist in preparation of survey reports, plans, and technical documentation
  • Collaborate with Surveyors, Engineers, and Project Managers on civil infrastructure, urban development, and environmental monitoring projects

About You

The company is looking for:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Geomatics, Geospatial Technologies, Civil Engineering, Surveying Engineering, or related field from an accredited institution
  • Familiarity with geospatial software such as ArcGIS, QGIS, AutoCAD Civil 3D, or Trimble Business Center
  • Experience with data collection equipment like total stations, GPS receivers, or laser scanners
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • At least a rising Junior
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship, now or in the future

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary range: $54,400.00 to $65,200.00, paid hourly based on hours worked
  • Salary determined by work location, skills, experience, and education
