Arcadis seeks an Entry-Level Geologist to support environmental site characterization and remediation with extensive fieldwork and travel.
Your Role
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting Project Managers and Task Managers in planning and executing environmental site characterization, investigation, and remediation tasks.
- Conducting fieldwork including soil, groundwater, and vapor sampling, with training to oversee drilling, groundwater well installation, subcontractor oversight, and remediation system operations.
- Preparing subcontracts and overseeing subcontractor work.
- Writing and preparing technical reports, work plans, letters, and memoranda.
- Performing office tasks such as task coordination, data compilation and interpretation, cost estimates, health & safety plan preparation, regulatory file reviews, proposal writing, project strategy development, schedule and budget management.
- Traveling regionally up to 1-2 days per week on average and occasionally within the U.S. for up to two weeks at a time, with estimated travel up to 75% during the first two years, reducing to about 50% by the third year.
- Conducting all fieldwork with a focus on health and safety.
About You
What you'll need:
- Bachelor’s of Science in Geology, Engineering, or a closely related field (environmental, biological, physical science).
- Preferred: Master of Science degree in Geology, Engineering, or closely related field.
- Preferred: Current OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Self-motivated with independent thinking and ability to work effectively both independently and in a team setting.
- Adaptable, creative problem solver with collaborative teamwork skills.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $61,737 - $98,779, based on experience, education, budget, internal equity, project, and location.
