Join CDM Smith as an entry-level Geologist in Denver, performing site investigations and hydrogeologic analyses within a supportive and growth-focused environment.

Your Role

Key responsibilities include:

  • Perform basic site investigations, geologic and seismic evaluations, and hydrogeologic analyses such as aquifer test, geochemical, geotechnical, and contaminant transport analyses.
  • Conduct lithologic and geophysical well logging, water sampling, surface geological mapping, aquifer performance testing, soils characterization, and data compilation and evaluation.
  • Prepare cross sections, iso-contour and iso-concentration maps, and perform QA/QC analyses.
  • Develop draft evaluations and calculations to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and firm policies.
  • Attend conferences and contribute to Technical Knowledge Management by developing white papers and technical design documentation for publication.

About You

The company is looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in Science or related discipline; 0 years experience required; equivalent directly related experience considered in lieu of degree.
  • Basic knowledge of computer assisted design and drafting (CADD) 3D and 4D software and practices.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft business software (Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of scientific methods and processes.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and/or internationally up to 20% of the time.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $48,318 to $74,901, varying by geographic location, experience, education, and skills.
  • Discretionary bonuses may apply.
