Lennar seeks a Homebuilding Recent College Graduate for a 6-month training program in Purchasing, developing skills in material estimation and vendor management.
Your Role
Key responsibilities include:
- Estimating materials for new plans
- Creating and maintaining accurate material take-offs (MTOs)
- Monitoring material usage in the field for overages/shortages and updating take-offs
- Recording and analyzing take-off data
- Assisting the Division team with plan value engineering to reduce costs and improve efficiency
- Maintaining Division’s insurance compliance
- Updating and correcting purchase order issues
- Completing required forms by the Regional Operations Center (ROC)
- Maintaining vendor files and contracts
- Preparing bid requests for new and existing plans
- Assisting in evaluating new bid proposals
About You
The company is looking for candidates who meet the following requirements:
- Current senior graduating from a 4-year college or university by June (preferred)
- Willingness to relocate with support at the end of the program as needed (preferred)
- Working towards a bachelor's degree in construction, civil engineering, architecture, business, or a similar degree (preferred)
- Authorized to work in the United States without employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future (no sponsorship available)
- Valid driver’s license, good driving record, and valid auto insurance coverage
- Knowledge of construction management processes, means, and methods
- Knowledge of building products, construction details, and relevant rules, regulations, and standards
- Ability to read and understand residential blueprints
- Familiarity with construction management software packages
- Ability to work with various technologies and develop skills for new tools, platforms, and digital workflows
- Open to engagement in personal or professional development through learning opportunities
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Interpersonal and customer service skills
- Organizational skills and attention to detail
- Time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Compensation & Benefits
- Annual salary range: $63,000 - $68,500, subject to adjustment based on qualifications and location

Career Progression
The 6-month Future Builders Program is temporary and does not guarantee future employment; however, high-performing participants may be offered full-time roles in Construction, Purchasing, or Land based on performance and business needs.
