Lennar seeks an Accounting Intern for a 10-week paid program to support financial reporting and internal controls in a leading homebuilding company.
Your Role
Here’s what you will be doing:
- Prepare financial statements, journal entries, management reporting, and reconciliations for month-end and quarterly-end closing activities
- Ensure the adequacy and compliance of internal control systems
- Examine records, reports, operating practices, and documentation to appraise system accuracy
- Draft memos, compute estimated payments, and perform tax provisional work to control business risks
- Work alongside seasoned professionals in a collaborative and inclusive workplace culture
- Participate in onboarding, hands-on training, teambuilding, and a visit to a Lennar Community
About You
The company is looking for:
- Current junior working towards a bachelor's or master's degree, graduating within 2 years (preferred)
- Degree focus in accounting, finance, or a similar field
- Authorization to work in the United States
- Valid driver’s license, good driving record, and valid auto insurance coverage
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Interpersonal and customer service skills
- Organizational skills and attention to detail
- Time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
