Join Intuit’s Money Risk team as a Senior Business Data Analyst Intern to leverage data and technology in fighting fraud and protecting customers.
Your Role
Here’s what you will be doing:
- Translate business questions into verifiable hypotheses, create experiments, and generate recommendations based on findings.
- Leverage data to understand fraudulent/financial risk behavior, identify trends indicating elevated risk, and inform policy decisions.
- Proactively identify process improvements and suggest projects addressing key issues while enhancing customer experience.
- Deliver accurate metrics related to risk activity, policy rules, and operating effectiveness via dashboards using disparate data sources and systems.
- Curate and standardize risk-related datasets foundational to Intuit-wide fraud efforts.
- Use SQL, Python, Tableau, and spreadsheets to analyze, manipulate, and visualize datasets to guide fraud and risk policy.
- Create clear, concise diagrams documenting data flows and business processes.
- Validate the integrity and quality of data required for analysis.
- Partner with fraud investigation teams, policy makers, product managers, and data scientists to deliver data insights and analysis supporting critical decisions.
About You
The company is looking for:
- Advanced SQL and coding skills for data profiling, segmentation, and aggregation.
- Experience with statistical analysis supporting policy recommendations preferred.
- Significant experience with relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, Vertica) preferred.
- Outstanding communication skills to negotiate, prioritize across technical and non-technical teams, influence decision makers, and build consensus.
- Detail-oriented with high accountability, organization, and empathy.
- Working toward a Bachelor’s Degree in a Quantitative Field or commensurate experience; Master’s degree preferred.
Compensation & Benefits

- Expected base pay range in Mountain View, CA: $47.60 - $64.40 per hour.
