Forward Deployed Software Engineer, Internship (Start ASAP)

Palantir seeks Forward Deployed Software Engineer Interns to solve critical data-driven problems with real-world impact in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Your Role

Key responsibilities include:

• Working directly with customers to understand their problems and design data-driven solutions.
• Owning end-to-end execution of high-stakes projects in small teams with minimal supervision.
• Engaging in tasks such as architecture discussions, handling large-scale data, coding custom web applications, and collaborating with customer executives.
• Collaborating internally with FDSEs, product teams, and Deployment Strategists, and externally with customers, often on-site.
• Taking significant ownership and responsibility for real-world projects and outcomes.

About You

The company is looking for candidates who have:

• Engineering background, preferably in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics, or Data Science.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, TypeScript/JavaScript, or similar.
• Willingness and interest to travel 25-50% as needed to client sites (requirements vary by team and location).
• Ability to continuously learn, work independently, and make decisions with minimal direction.
• Strong collaboration skills to work with technical and non-technical teams in a dynamic environment.
• Eagerness to creatively solve technical problems involving data structures, storage systems, cloud infrastructure, and front-end frameworks.
• Interest in working with large-scale data to solve valuable business problems.
• Willingness to undergo a US government background investigation if required.
• Must be planning to graduate in 2027 and this should be the final internship before graduation.
