Your Role
Key responsibilities include:
- Design, analysis, and testing of fluid components and systems, propulsion systems, and mechanical systems.
- Integration of materials and processes, manufacturing, systems test, operations, and systems engineering.
- Collaboration with engineering teams matched to your skillset and business needs.
- Supporting rapid development programs with attention to safety and repeatability in spaceflight.
About You
The company is looking for candidates with:
- A minimum of a BS degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, mechatronics, or a relevant engineering field earned within the last year, with availability to start by Fall 2026.
- Strong fundamentals in propulsion, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and structural analysis.
- Relevant internship, co-op, or hands-on experience demonstrating technical skills and leadership qualities.
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.
- Capability to work independently and collaboratively on rapid development programs.
- Flexible, adaptable, and self-driven mindset with minimal direction needed to seek out requirements.
Desired qualifications include:
- M.S. degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering or related field.
- Experience with GD&T (ASME Y14.5), 3D CAD programs, Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
- Knowledge of low-pressure fluid systems, valves, manifolds, fittings, tubing, seals, or other fluid systems.
- Thermodynamics, fluid flow, or heat transfer analysis experience.
- Safety assessment and operation of pressurized test hardware.
- Machining, building, and maintaining pressurized or mechanical systems.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range for Washington applicants: $81,313.00 - $113,837.85; other site ranges may differ.
