Join AECOM as a Fire Protection Intern, gaining hands-on experience in fire protection engineering with a global infrastructure leader.

Your Role

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assist in the design and review of fire protection systems for various building types
  • Support senior engineers in conducting fire risk assessments and safety audits
  • Help prepare technical reports and documentation for fire protection projects
  • Participate in site visits to observe and learn about fire protection system installations
  • Contribute to the development of fire safety plans and emergency procedures
  • Assist in researching and staying up-to-date with the latest fire protection technologies and regulations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure fire safety compliance in building designs
  • Support the team in creating and maintaining project documentation and drawings

About You

The company is looking for:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering with at least one year completed, or recent graduates planning to continue with a Master’s degree in a related discipline
  • Basic knowledge of fire protection systems, safety codes, and standards
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Familiarity with CAD software and fire protection engineering tools is a plus
  • Eagerness to learn and develop skills in fire protection engineering
