Fire Protection Engineer Intern (May 2026)

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:

• Learn and apply codes and standards for designing projects
• Collaborate with senior engineers for field data collection
• Adapt to new software systems and use available resources effectively
• Connect classroom knowledge with practical industry work
• Manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines efficiently
• Maintain a positive attitude towards learning and feedback

About You

The company is looking for:

• Graduates with a bachelor’s or master’s degree from an ABET-accredited school in Mechanical or Fire Protection Engineering
• Graduating between December 2026 and May 2027
• Available to start in May or June 2026
• Preferred coursework in Fire Protection and Sprinkler Systems
• Solid foundation in core engineering concepts
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite
• Excellent writing, presentation, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in teams
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders and navigate client sites, including outdoor work
• Willingness to travel for client and company projects or meetings
• Completion of pre-interview assessments and submission of college transcript if under one year post-graduation
• Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug and alcohol screenings, background checks, and annual motor vehicle record checks
• Must be legally eligible to work in the US without sponsorship
