Join ENERCON as a Fire Protection Engineer Intern in Kennesaw, GA, gaining hands-on experience in energy solutions and engineering projects.

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:

  • Learn and apply codes and standards for project design
  • Collaborate with senior engineers for field data collection
  • Adapt to new software systems and use available resources
  • Connect classroom knowledge with practical industry work
  • Manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines efficiently
  • Maintain a positive attitude towards learning and feedback

About You

The company is looking for:

  • Graduates or soon-to-be graduates (Dec 2026–May 2027) with a bachelor’s or master’s degree from an ABET-accredited school in Mechanical or Fire Protection Engineering
  • Availability to start in May or June 2026
  • Preferred coursework in Fire Protection and Sprinkler Systems
  • Solid foundation in core engineering concepts
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite
  • Excellent writing, presentation, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in teams
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Physical ability to climb stairs and ladders and navigate client sites
  • Willingness to work outdoors and travel for projects and meetings
  • Completion of pre-interview assessments and submission of college transcript if under one year post-graduation
  • Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug/alcohol screenings, background checks, and annual motor vehicle record checks
  • Legal eligibility to work in the US without sponsorship
