Environmental Scientist (Start ASAP)

Join CDM Smith as an Environmental Scientist, contributing to environmental site investigations and studies within a supportive and inclusive team.

Your Role

Key responsibilities include:

• Performing basic compilation and analysis of site data under direct supervision.
• Assisting with the application of site data to support project approaches.
• Conducting field site investigations including soil, water, air sampling, wetland delineation, and wildlife/habitat surveys.
• Assisting with preparation of environmental studies such as NEPA documents, field reports, and feasibility studies.
• Collaborating with scientists, engineers, and construction staff to implement approved project approaches like restoration and remediation.
• Providing advice and expertise on selected project approaches.
• Contributing to the firm’s technical knowledge management by developing white papers and technical design documentation.
• Submitting technical papers and designs for publication in technical journals.
• Creating or assisting in the creation of presentation materials for conferences.

About You

The company is looking for:

• Bachelor's degree in Science or related discipline; equivalent additional directly related experience considered in lieu of a degree.
• 0 years of experience.
• Basic knowledge of standard field protocols in environmental science.
• Familiarity with Microsoft business software (Excel, Word, etc.).
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of scientific methods and processes.
• Basic knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
• Valid driver's license.
• Willingness to travel domestically and/or internationally up to 80% depending on project demands.
• No visa sponsorship available for this position.
