Join Arcadis as a Geologist or Environmental Scientist Intern in Raleigh or Cary, NC for Summer, supporting environmental remediation and compliance projects.

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:

  • Provide field and office support for site-wide monitoring and investigation activities including soil, water, and vapor sample collection.
  • Assist project teams with remediation system operation and permitted facilities.
  • Engage in office tasks such as task coordination, data compilation and interpretation, quality assurance/quality control reviews, cost estimates, health & safety plan preparation, report writing, regulatory file review, proposal support, project strategy development, scheduling, and cost estimate preparation.
  • Work within a team-oriented environment emphasizing mentoring, technical support, and professional growth.

About You

The company is looking for:

  • Pursuing a BS in Geology, Environmental Science, or related discipline.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; skills in AutoCAD, GIS, and programming are preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Hourly salary range: $16.50 - $35.00
  • Benefits for part-time, as-needed positions including Employee Assistance Program (EAP), 401K, and optional wellbeing benefits.

The internship offers exposure to a wide variety of environmental projects, with mentoring, technical support, and professional growth as top priorities.

Career Progression

Outstanding interns may be eligible for full-time positions after graduation.
