Arcadis seeks an entry-level Environmental Engineer in Sacramento, CA to support environmental assessment and remediation projects with significant fieldwork and travel.
Your Role
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting environmental assessment and remediation projects within the Resilience Environment team
- Participating in field investigations, sampling, pilot programs, and remedial efforts
- Providing engineering design and optimization support for treatment systems
- Operating and maintaining remediation systems (water and vapor treatment)
- Designing and overseeing system improvements and upgrades
- Conducting soil and groundwater investigations and sample collection
- Performing site characterization, remedial design, and feasibility studies
- Compiling, evaluating, and performing QA/QC on data
- Writing reports, supporting permitting, and cost estimating
- Coordinating with project managers and senior engineering staff
- Engaging in face-to-face meetings with clients, technical teams, and stakeholders
- Traveling regionally up to 1-2 days per week and occasionally up to two weeks within the U.S.; estimated travel up to 75% initially, reducing to 50% by year three
About You
What you'll need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Civil, Mechanical, or related engineering field
- Strong organizational and team-building skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication skills
- Focus on health and safety
- Comfortable with dynamic workflow and frequent travel
- Preferred: EIT Certification

- Salary range: $53,094 - $84,950, based on experience, education, and location
