AMT seeks an Entry Level Water Resources Engineer for stormwater and hydraulic design in a hybrid work environment.
Your Role
Here’s what you will be doing:
- Assist in the preparation of engineering documents including plans, reports, cost estimates, and specifications for Advertisement and Construction.
- Obtain permit approvals from state and local agencies.
- Work on stormwater management, storm drainage systems, culverts, open channels, bridge hydraulics, erosion and sediment controls, and other water resources engineering tasks.
- Establish and maintain positive working relationships with coworkers, project managers, supervisors, and other team members.
- Support projects in the Richmond, VA office and potentially collaborate with other AMT offices.
About You
What you'll need:
- BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering with a focus in Water Resources.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Knowledge of hydrology and hydraulic modeling (drainage, SWM, floodplain) using commonly used software.
- Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE/EIT) Exam preferred.
- Design knowledge of MicroStation and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Excellent organizational, coordination, and communication skills, both written and verbal.
