Dewberry seeks an Entry Level Structural (Bridge) Engineer in Boston, MA to design bridges and transportation structures with growth opportunities.

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:

  • Design simple and complex bridges primarily of steel and concrete construction
  • Design various transportation-related structures including retaining walls, culverts, and sign structures
  • Develop contract plans, prepare engineer's estimates and construction specifications
  • Perform construction support services
  • Participate in structural project phases including inspection, analysis, design, and report preparation
  • Review shop drawings and assist as a bridge/tunnel inspection team member
  • Assemble inspection reports and design building modifications

About You

The company is looking for:

  • BS in Civil Engineering
  • 0 - 2 years of experience in Structural Engineering
  • F.E. preferred
  • Ability to perform field inspections
  • Preference for knowledge of STAAD, MathCad, Tedds, RISA, or similar analysis software
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and team environment

Compensation & Benefits

  • Annual salary range: $80,000 - $82,500, varying by skills, experience, location, and market conditions
