Your Role
Here’s what you will be doing:
- Work on the design of new structures and existing structural upgrades within the Advanced Facilities - Electronics team.
- Assist in structural analysis and design under the guidance of Professional Engineers and technical experts.
- Collaborate closely with the Structural Lead, Project Managers, Professional Engineers, and Designers across disciplines.
- Perform increasingly complex calculations and analysis as structural design develops.
- Communicate structural requirements effectively on paper and in models.
- Develop understanding of vertical and lateral structural systems in compliance with applicable codes and standards.
- Manage your own workload, meet schedule, budget, and quality requirements, and take initiative in tasks with ill-defined conditions.
About You
The company is looking for:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering with emphasis on Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
- Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a project site/hybrid environment within approximately 50 miles of Portland, OR.
- Internet service with a minimum 25Mbps download/10Mbps upload speed.
- Sponsorship is not available for this position.
- Preferred: MS degree in Civil or Structural Engineering with emphasis on Structural Engineering.
- Preferred: Previous relevant internship experience in Structural Engineering, especially with steel and concrete structures.
- Preferred: Experience with STAAD, Navisworks, and Bluebeam.
- Preferred: Familiarity with US building codes, including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, and AISC.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary range: $70,000 to $90,000, determined by location, skills, experience, and education.
