Arcadis seeks an Entry Level Environmental Engineer/Scientist to support environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives at Middletown, CT.
Your Role
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting environmental compliance policies, programs, procedures, and management systems.
- Conducting field activities such as groundwater, soil, waste, stormwater, and wastewater sampling for permit compliance.
- Assisting with site visits, audits, trainings, report preparation, and meetings.
- Reviewing and evaluating regulatory permits and associated documentation.
- Assisting in the development of technical plans including spill prevention control and countermeasure plans, stormwater pollution prevention plans, Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, and Hazardous Waste Contingency Plans.
- Working independently and collaboratively to provide environmental compliance solutions to clients.
- Supporting Arcadis team members in producing high-quality work products.
- Participating in site visits and fieldwork primarily within driving distance of Middletown, CT, with occasional overnight travel up to 25% nationally or regionally.
About You
The company is looking for:
- B.S. degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or related discipline.
- Preferred prior internship experience in the environmental field.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office.

- Salary range: $53,094 - $84,950 per year, based on experience, education, budget, internal equity, project, and location.
