AECOM seeks an Entry Level Environmental Engineer in Orlando, FL to support environmental compliance, sampling, and engineering design projects.

Your Role

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting site visits at industrial, military bases, and municipal clients
  • Collecting and analyzing data for environmental compliance, sustainability, and stormwater projects
  • Performing environmental sampling including groundwater, soil, stormwater, wastewater, and hazardous waste
  • Developing technical memoranda and reports
  • Preparing environmental reporting forms
  • Traveling locally and potentially within the U.S. depending on projects
  • Conducting engineering design, creating designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic and final working drawings under supervision
  • Using computer software to solve basic engineering problems
  • Performing work within agreed budget and schedule under supervision

About You

The company is looking for candidates with:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience/education
  • U.S. Citizenship due to nature of work
  • Valid U.S. Driver's License and ability to pass Motor Vehicle Records review
  • General knowledge of basic engineering and environmental sciences
  • Proficiency in standard office suite software applications
  • OSHA 40 Hour HAZWOPER Certification (preferred)
  • Professional demeanor in written and verbal communications with clients, regulatory officials, and colleagues
  • Ability to write clearly and convey complex ideas concisely
  • Willingness to learn through on-the-job experience
  • Tolerance for outdoor work in various weather conditions
  • Ability to work independently in office and field environments
  • Ability to travel locally, including occasional extended travel

Compensation & Benefits

  • Annual salary range: $65,000 to $70,000, based on education, qualifications, experience, and location
