Join Jacobs as an Entry-Level Electrical Engineer focused on energy and power, working on innovative power system projects worldwide.

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:

  • Work on condition assessment of existing systems, feasibility and master plan studies, and detailed design and construction oversight for power generation facilities, distribution systems, and substations.
  • Produce electrical calculations, reports, and construction document packages for bidding and construction.
  • Model complex power systems to evaluate load flow, short-circuit, and arc-flash hazards and develop relay protection strategies.
  • Design lightning protection systems and grounding.
  • Develop procurement specifications for electrical equipment and materials for construction projects.
  • Collaborate under the guidance of professional engineers and senior technical staff.

About You

What you'll need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
  • Previous relevant intern experience preferred.
  • Experience with 3D modeling and viewing software such as AutoCAD, CADWorx, Revit, and NavisWorks preferred.
  • System modeling experience using SKM Power Tools, ETAP, or similar software preferred.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary range: $61,800.00 to $96,690.00, determined by location, skills, experience, and education.
