Entry Level Conveyance Design Engineer to support water/wastewater pipeline and pump station projects across northern California with Jacobs.
Your Role
Here’s what you will be doing:
- Perform routine assignments under guidance from senior professionals
- Understand and apply fundamental theories, principles, and concepts
- Complete structured work assignments using existing procedures to solve routine problems
- Assist in conceptual and final design drawings and specification packages for municipal, agricultural, and other water agencies
- Support utility research and field investigations
- Contribute to alternatives analyses and route studies during preliminary project phases
- Assist with hydraulic and design calculations to support design development
- Help write technical memorandums and basis of design reports to communicate design criteria and concepts to clients and stakeholders
- Review construction documents and provide services during construction
- Contribute to client communications, presentations, and deliverables
- Communicate effectively internally and externally
- Develop and maintain mentor and mentee relationships within the conveyance design team
About You
What you'll need:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Agricultural Engineering, or equivalent
- Authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship, now or in the future
- 0-2 years of experience with exposure to fundamental theories, principles, and concepts on projects including conveyance pipeline and/or water/wastewater pump station design
- Comfortable working both collaboratively and independently
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary range: $62,500.00 to $109,500.00, determined by location, skills, experience, and education
