Join CDM Smith as an Entry Human Resources Operations Specialist supporting HR activities including onboarding, interviews, and employee communications in a hybrid Boston office role.
Your Role
Here’s what you will be doing:
- Coordinate, research, prepare, and schedule HR activities such as background checks, immigration, job postings, interviews, onboarding, orientation, and relocation under direct supervision.
- Prepare and distribute communications for interviews, offer letters, sign-on and relocation agreements, onboarding materials, background check forms, and immigration letters; collect and follow up on employee documentation.
- Schedule interviews, book candidate travel, brief applicants and employees on benefits and HR policies, respond to inquiries within standard procedures, and manage candidate expense reimbursements.
- Process transactions in third-party applications and review/manage I-9 forms for collection and retention.
- Process invoices, check requests, and employee expense reimbursements.
- Transmit information to vendors for relocation, background checks, job postings, etc., following prescribed procedures.
- Participate on HR project teams to improve processes, reduce manual work, and increase efficiencies; administer programs such as e-Verify and e-Rail Safe.
- Maintain process documentation and files.
- Perform other duties as required.
About You

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent directly related experience.
- 0 years of related experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office is desirable.
- Ability to work as a team player.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to work with diverse people.
- Ability to work with detail, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Basic knowledge of human resources practices, policies, regulations, and programs.
- No visa sponsorship available (H-1B or TN Visas not supported).
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay range: $26.97 to $43.15 per hour.
- Hybrid work arrangement requiring presence in Boston office at least 2 days per week.
- Domestic and/or international travel may be required (0% travel expected).
