About you
Candidate Qualifications:
- Passion and interest in cybersecurity and risk
- Curiosity and desire to learn
- Must be pursuing a degree in a relevant IT/IS-related field, (e.g. Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering) with coursework in one or more of the following areas:
- Functional Skills
- Cybersecurity fundamentals
- IT Compliance and risk management
- Security operations and cyber threat detection
- Threat intelligence
- Network security engineering
- Secure software development /engineering
- Security Architecture
- Relevant Technical Skills and Qualifications
- Operating systems such as Windows, Linux, MacOS
- Coding skills in Python, Ruby, JavaScript, C++, SQL, Powershell, or other relevant languages
- Interest or experience in the use of tools such as Splunk, Tenable, Snort, Metasploit, Burp Suite, Wireshark, Nmap
- Working knowledge of TCP/IP
- Basic knowledge of networking and operating systems
- Must have good problem-solving, analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Is a team player
- Is highly motivated
- Shows a strong willingness to learn
- Ability to work autonomously
- Attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (e.g. PPT, Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Qualified candidates must have completed their Junior year by the program start (June 2025) and be on track to graduate in May/June 2026
Compensation & benefits
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $20.00 per hour- $30.00 per hour. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for a one-time stipend payment $3500-$4000.

Training & development
