Enterprise Cyber Security & Risk Summer Intern (Jun 2025)

Your role

About you

Candidate Qualifications: 

• Passion and interest in cybersecurity and risk
• Curiosity and desire to learn
• Must be pursuing a degree in a relevant IT/IS-related field, (e.g. Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering) with coursework in one or more of the following areas:
  • Functional Skills
    • Cybersecurity fundamentals
    • IT Compliance and risk management
    • Security operations and cyber threat detection
    • Threat intelligence
    • Network security engineering
    • Secure software development /engineering
    • Security Architecture
  • Relevant Technical Skills and Qualifications
    • Operating systems such as Windows, Linux, MacOS
    • Coding skills in Python, Ruby, JavaScript, C++, SQL, Powershell, or other relevant languages
    • Interest or experience in the use of tools such as Splunk, Tenable, Snort, Metasploit, Burp Suite, Wireshark, Nmap
    • Working knowledge of TCP/IP
• Basic knowledge of networking and operating systems
• Must have good problem-solving, analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills 
• Is a team player 
• Is highly motivated 
• Shows a strong willingness to learn 
• Ability to work autonomously 
• Attention to detail
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (e.g. PPT, Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Qualified candidates must have completed their Junior year by the program start (June 2025) and be on track to graduate in May/June 2026

Compensation & benefits

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $20.00 per hour- $30.00 per hour. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for a one-time stipend payment $3500-$4000.

Training & development
