Engineering/Manufacturing Co-op - Decatur (Aug 2026)

Join GE Appliances as a Supply Chain/Manufacturing Co-op in Decatur, AL, gaining hands-on experience in refrigeration and manufacturing operations.

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:

• Set goals and objectives for your co-op rotation with your assignment leader
• Lead teams across multiple business levels through influencing
• Use initiative to find and develop process improvements
• Assist your team with development and execution of project ideas
• Work independently and set regular feedback sessions with your assignment leader
• Support refrigeration assignments in disciplines such as shop operations, process engineering, advanced manufacturing engineering, global supply chain management, quality, sourcing, materials management, and manufacturing management
• Work in a team environment to complete projects and duties designated by assignment leader
• May require some overtime and Saturdays; start times vary between 5:30 AM and 8:00 AM on first shift
• Travel required: 0% - 10% depending on role
• Reliable daily transportation required

About You

The company is looking for:

• Currently enrolled in an accredited university pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, Science, Chemical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related fields
• Graduation date May 2026 or later
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher (out of 4.0)
• Willingness to explore all sides of Supply Chain including Manufacturing, Sourcing, Supplier Quality, Materials, Total Productive Maintenance, Lean, Distribution, Fulfillment, Consumer Operations, and Advanced Manufacturing
• Legal authorization to work in the hiring country without visa sponsorship
