Engineering Intern opportunity at AECOM in Conshohocken, PA, focusing on water/wastewater treatment design with hybrid work model.

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:

  • Perform technical engineering tasks for planning, design, and construction phases of water/wastewater treatment projects.
  • Prepare design drawings, plans, sections, details, and profiles using Autodesk AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Prepare engineering calculations and develop drawings and visual aids.
  • Work under supervision of a project manager or senior team member.
  • Engage in water/wastewater treatment evaluation and design, pump station evaluation and design, water distribution system hydraulic modeling, sewer collection system evaluation and design, and stormwater modeling and analysis.

About You

The company is looking for candidates who meet the following requirements:

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering with emphasis on water resources, water or wastewater treatment, conveyance/pipelines, or related field, with at least two years of study completed.
  • Graduates planning to continue with a Master’s degree in a related discipline are eligible.
  • US citizenship is required due to the nature of the work.
  • Preferred GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Ability to work productively in a collaborative team environment with a desire to learn and grow.
  • Strong commitment, willingness to learn, and ability to work in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.
  • Knowledge of hydrologic and hydraulic engineering concepts through coursework or experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Detail-oriented with understanding of project goals.
  • Ability to multi-task, strong logic and writing skills, good communication skills, and accurate documentation of time and effort.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Hourly pay range: USD 22.67 - USD 31.17.
