Join Sargent & Lundy as an Energy Consulting Intern to support power generation projects and gain hands-on engineering experience.

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:

  • Collaborate with members of the Consulting Business Group and expand your academic background in Engineering.
  • Assist in the preparation of Consulting proposals, marketing materials, technical presentations, and white papers.
  • Support project teams with due diligence of power generation projects, power system planning projects, and feasibility studies.
  • Track and evaluate project activities and progress, and associated data.
  • Prepare technical reports and other Consulting deliverables, including conceptual designs and specifications.
  • Provide technical support to clients.

About You

The company is looking for:

  • Pursuing either a Master's or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering with at least six semesters or equivalent quarters completed at an accredited university.
  • Minimum overall GPA of at least 3.0.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office with proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Related internship or co-op experiences (valued).
  • Experience and/or coursework in power systems, renewable energy, battery energy storage, or in the power industry (valued).
  • Note: The company does not sponsor employees for work authorization in the U.S. for this position.

  • Hourly rate: $17.50 - $27.00
