Join Tesla’s firmware platforms team to develop high-quality embedded C code for real-time systems in electric vehicles, energy, and robotics.

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:

  • Deliver high-quality C code in a real-time embedded environment
  • Specify, design, and implement functionality and behaviors of embedded subsystems
  • Design software architecture and firmware implementation on hardware through integration, testing, and high-volume manufacturing
  • Perform hands-on hardware bring-up, system debugging, and code optimization
  • Make performance and optimization trade-offs to meet product requirements

About You

The company is looking for:

  • Currently pursuing a Degree in Computer Science or related field with a graduation date between 2026-2027
  • Experience writing firmware in both bare-metal and RTOS contexts
  • Experience in embedded development in robotics, real-time controls, or system software is a plus
  • Strong software fundamentals including software design and maintainability
  • Experience with embedded microprocessor tools like debuggers and logic analyzers
  • Familiarity with test-driven development and developer-driven automated testing
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate complex technical concepts
